We hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year and are now ready to stock up your freezers again. With this in mind we have decided to offer a discount on frozen meat for the whole of February – just come into the shop and see what bargains you can find!
It may appear quiet on the farming front at the moment but since the New Year we have had 17 piglets and 2 calves and lambing is imminent. The crops drilled in the autumn seem to be coming up and we have some spring linseed and grass to plant over the next couple of months (if it dries up)…
We had our first B&B guests of the year in this week (that was a shock to the system) and we continue to get requests from Channel 4′s “4 in a bed” but don’t feel quite ready to take on that challenge just yet. The Shearing Shed is generally full at weekends and guests are loving the central farm location and wood burner – we may even book in for a mini-break before we get too busy!
