Staying at Old Farm

The accommodation (Tourist Board Rating: 3 Stars)

There are 3 bedrooms at Old Farm which overlook our large garden. All the bedrooms have a TV and tea/coffee making facilities and the beds have pocket sprung mattresses. We usually use feather and down pillows and duvets so please let me know when booking if you prefer synthetic/anti-allergy bedding and we also have memory foam pillows available.

Room 1 has a king size bed and there is also a day bed which can be used as a single if you require a twin or family room. There is a newly installed en-suite bathroom with a small (water & energy saving!) bath and shower. We have a DVD player in this room and can supply children's DVD's for you to watch and there is a baby monitor which works both in the dining room and garden.

Room 2 has a double bed and is available for both double and single occupancy. The shower is in the room and there is an en-suite toilet and wash basin.

Room 3 has a large (66"), grand four poster bed. The shower and wash basin are in the room and there is an en-suite toilet.

Sorry, we do not have a bath available for guests in Rooms 2 and 3.

Please click on the "Check Availability" button (left hand column) to see pictures of all the rooms.

The large dining room can also be used as a lounge by guests with TV, books and games. Please feel free to use the dining room if you would like to bring in your own food and drink in the evenings (corkscrew and glasses also available!). The garden is free for guests to use – either to relax and unwind or it is a great area to let off steam, especially those with children or plenty of energy.

Check in time is usually between 5 and 7pm although as our shop is open all day on Fridays and Saturdays you are welcome to come any time after 2pm on these days. Please let me know if you are likely to be any earlier or later as we will do our best to accommodate you (later is not normally a problem but earlier can sometimes be more difficult to arrange...). Check out time is 10am on the day of departure.

If you require collection from Moreton station then please call or e-mail beforehand so that we can organise transport. We may be able to arrange morning/early afternoon pick ups so that you can leave your luggage at the farm whilst you explore the area.

Members of Green Tourism Business Scheme , Gold Award. We have been audited by GTBS under various headings including energy and water saving, purchasing, waste, transport and wildlife. We have a Green Policy in place at Old Farm and encourage guests to help us - all our rooms have a "Green File" with lots of useful information...

Wi-Fi in all bedrooms/dining room and internet available for guest use...

We do not offer evening meals at Old Farm but are just 1 mile from Morteton in Marsh and there is a footpath leading from the farm accross our fields into town. Please note though that it can get muddy at times and there are no steet lights to guide your way back in the dark (although we do supply you with a torch!). We do have a taxi service of sorts in Moreton but pre-booking is recommended, preferably when you book your room as numbers are limited - see below for details.

We regret that we no longer accept dogs in the B&B as we have 2 of our own: "BB" the Weimaraner and Bluey a working collie. We can put you in touch with kennels locally at very reasonable rates if you'd like to bring your dogs away with you, please ask for details.

A Cotswold breakfast

Breakfast is served in the dining room between 7.30 and 8.30am Monday - Friday and between 8.00 and 9.00am at the weekends (please ask about other times if required – no reasonable request declined if possible!) Please let me know the night before if you have any special requests or dietary requirements (e.g. Vegan, gluten free etc.)

Naturally we serve up Old Farm sausages, home-cured bacon and our own free range eggs in the morning along with other local items including: apple Juice from Hayles Farm ; butter from Netherend Dairy, Lydney; milk from Holmleigh Dairy, Donnington (where they know all their cows by name!); yoghurts from Woodlands Dairy, Chedworth; bread from Le Petit Croissant, Lower Clopton and preserves from Kitchen Garden, Stroud or from Old Farm when in stock! See the shop page for our low food miles table.

We use "Fair Trade" tea, coffee, hot chocolate and sugar

After breakfast please feel free to look around the farm and ask any questions if you are interested in anything we are doing – Simon and I are always happy to have a chat…

All major credit/debit cards accepted.
