Staying at Old Farm
We have 3 options for you to stay at the farm: B&B in the farmhouse and self catering in the “Shearing Shed” (a single storey barn conversion with king size bed plus 2 fold up beds available) or “Bell Tent” (with double bed and 2 small singles situated on our camping field), go to Book on-line at Old Farm for pictures and more details. If there is no availability on-line please email or call 01608 650394 for up to date information. Why not bring a cool box with you and you can stock up on some home produced meat from our Farm Shop (the shop is officially open on Fridays and Saturdays but we are always happy to open it up for guests)!
There are 3 bedrooms at Old Farm which overlook our large garden. All have a TV and tea/coffee making facilities, the beds have pocket sprung mattresses with feather & down pillows and duvets plus FREE WIFI. Let me know when booking if you prefer synthetic/anti-allergy bedding, memory foam pillows available too.
Room 1: king size bed + day bed which can be used as a single if you require a twin. Small en-suite bathroom with a small (water & energy saving!) bath and shower.
Room 2: double bed, available for both double and single occupancy. The shower is in the room and there is an en-suite toilet and wash basin.
Room 3: large (66″), four poster bed. The shower and wash basin are in the room and there is an en-suite toilet.
The large dining room (which has a fridge and microwave for guests) can be used at any time and please feel free to bring in your own food and drink in the evenings (corkscrew and glasses also available!). The garden is a great place to relax and unwind or to let off steam as applicable!
Check in time can be flexible – please let me know a rough time of arrival if possible and we will do our best to be there to see you in. We do have a combination lock on the B&B door in the unlikely event we are not able to be there when you arrive and can give you the code if necessary. Check out time is 10am on the day of departure.
If you require collection from Moreton station then please call or e-mail beforehand so that we can organise transport. We may be able to arrange morning/early afternoon pick ups so that you can leave your luggage at the farm whilst you explore the area.
We do not offer evening meals at Old Farm but are just 1 mile from Morteton in Marsh and there is a footpath leading from the farm accross our fields into town. Please note though that it can get muddy at times and there are no street lights to guide your way back in the dark (although we can supply you with a torch!). We do have a taxi service of sorts in Moreton but pre-booking is recommended, preferably when you book your room as numbers are limited – see below for details.
We regret that we no longer accept dogs in the B&B as we have our own – Bonnie, a bearded collie cross and our working dog (supposedly!). We can put you in touch with kennels locally at very reasonable rates if you’d like to bring your dogs away with you, please ask for details.
A Cotswold breakfast
Breakfast is served in the dining room between 7.30 and 8.30am Monday – Friday and between 8.00 and 9.00am at the weekends (please ask about other times if required – no reasonable request declined if possible!) Please let me know the night before if you have any special requests or dietary requirements (e.g. gluten free etc.)
Naturally we serve up Old Farm sausages, home-cured bacon and eggs in the morning along with other local items including:
apple Juice from Hayles Farm ;
butter from Netherend Dairy, Lydney;
milk from Holmleigh Dairy, Donnington (where they know all their cows by name!);
yoghurts from Woodlands Dairy, Chedworth;
bread from Boulangerie Valentin and
